Elly and Anthony Cocchiarella HAPPY DAYS...
To the best people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and loving!
Jean was born on a Sunday
This page
is dedicated to my cousins Eleanor and Anthony Cocchiarella.
I have many fond memories at
their home in S. Daytona Beach. This was the true meaning of family. There was
nothing they could not do for me and visa-versa. I spent many a Sunday
afternoon, relaxing and talking to Cuz Tony in the screen porch after a great
dinner made by Cuz Elly. There was a also a "goody" bag ready for me to take
home, little did they know, but I really needed it! It was a haven to relax
after a long week of working and driving when I was self-employed. They are both
missed and I know they are up there having a ball w/Mom. God bless to the two
best cousins that a person could ever hope for! They also were very helpful in
getting my home ready for me, Elly planted flowers and Tony and the rest of the
guy's put together my garage door opener they gave me as a house warming
present! It was the best labor day I can remember. We had a BBQ and
like I said they were always there to lend a hand. When Grandma and Tony
moved to Deltona, we had a picnic in the park, and we all played bocci, of
course, Tony won, but never knowing that the next day we would all wake up to
red ant bites all over us! It was a fun day, the whole family was
together, and that made us all very happy. Now, getting Tony to drive to
Deltona was an accomplishment by it's self! But for me, he never
hesitated. Well, there was one time that we actually shanghaied him into
going to a restaurant, but that's another story! haha. We had great times
at the condo where he worked, and stayed there for a couple of summers, it was,
as always, a good time. They are both in my prayers every day. If I
can only duplicate Elly's meatballs I would be in heaven! It's funny the little
things you remember, but food was in the top three! Mom and her had that in
common, they both knew how to put on a spread!
Take care. God Bless! Love, Kurt
