Butch was born on May 21, 1947 to Augustus and Lillian Notter. He was the youngest of eight children. His older brother's and sister's names are Connie, Robert, Augustus Jr., Elizabeth, Patricia, Dorothy, Lillian, and Sandra. Butch met his wife Betty when he was 17 years old, Betty was 18 years old. Butch was not of age so they had to travel to Little Rock Arkansas to get married. In 1966 they had their first son Robert, and in 1968 they had their second son James. In 1975 they had a daughter named Sherry, and a long while after that in1988 they would have the surprise of their life with another little girl named Michelle. Butch's family was everything to him. He was a very hard working man who always provided for his family. He started working with C.J. Anderson in 1965 until his death in 2008. Butch took pride in his work and his family. He didn't ask for much out of life except for a nice home and a new car every now and then. Everyone who knew Butch knew what a comedian he was. Always making jokes and making people laugh. Even while in the hospital he tried to keep his spirits high with a little laughter. Butch was diagnosed on March 11, 2008 with stage 4 brain cancer. He was never sick a day in his life a week before that ,and on March 30, 2008 he went to be with God in his home with his family around him. This man is my father , and I and many other people will desperatly miss him. I love him with all my heart, love you 2 Dad. | | | | | | If roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my father's arms
And tell him they're from me.
Tell him that I love and miss him,
And when he turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon his cheek
And hold him for awhile.
Because remembering him is easy,
I do it everyday,
But there's an ache within my heart
That will never go away. | | |
